Utterly disgusted

US based person here and wow wow wow I just cannot get over FMLA policies. Barely any states offer paid leave to begin with right? So if the states aren’t on the hook for paying, at least give us more freaking time (minimum 16 weeks) of job protection my god. I know this isn’t news to anyone so I’m sorry if I sound like a broken record. I am just 🤯🤯 I have no words for the disgust and disappointment I feel about this. Women go through so much to get pregnant, then have all the worries during the pregnancy, go through the labor and then try to enjoy the moment with their newborn knowing there’s a clock ticking in the back of their mind. Excuse my language but unfuckingbelievable.

** And also I should have planned better and taken out an STD policy before getting pregnant and that’s on me. I’m not looking for advice, I just needed some place to vent so that I could attempt to fall asleep tonight not thinking about how I’m supposed to save money the next 8 months to be able to afford this time off 😅😅
