[Hiring] Entry-Level CNC Machining / Manufacturing Blog Writer – $0.07/word

Hiring (Entry Level)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a writer who can help create clear, practical, and SEO-friendly blog content about CNC machining and custom manufacturing.

The content will be used for a B2B CNC machining website. The target readers are engineers, product designers, purchasing managers, startup founders, and companies looking for custom machined parts.

Main topics may include:

  • CNC milling and CNC turning
  • 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machining
  • CNC machining materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, brass, copper, titanium, engineering plastics, and alloy steels
  • Surface finishes such as anodizing, plating, polishing, sandblasting, black oxide, and passivation
  • Tolerances, surface roughness, DFM, machining cost, inspection, and quality control
  • Machined part features such as threaded holes, counterbores, countersinks, grooves, slots, bores, shafts, housings, brackets, and custom components
  • Industry applications such as medical devices, automotive, aerospace, electronics, robotics, energy, and industrial equipment

This is not a general lifestyle writing job. I’m looking for someone who can research technical manufacturing topics carefully and explain them in a natural, useful, and easy-to-understand way.

Ideal background:

  • Experience writing about CNC machining, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, metalworking, CAD/CAM, industrial products, or B2B technical topics is preferred
  • Ability to write practical content instead of generic marketing copy
  • Familiarity with SEO blog structure, search intent, headings, long-tail keywords, and meta descriptions
  • Ability to include examples, comparisons, tables, and practical explanations when needed
  • Bonus if you have real CNC machining, CNC programming, shop-floor, engineering, or manufacturing experience

Article requirements:

  • Around 2,000–2,500 words per article
  • Clear H1, H2, and H3 structure
  • Practical explanations before bullet lists
  • SEO-friendly but natural keyword usage
  • Meta description included
  • Original, factually accurate, and easy to read
  • Long-term cooperation if the first articles are a good fit

Payment:

  • Entry-level writing rate: $0.07 per word
  • Typical article length: 2,000–2,500 words
  • Typical payment per article: $140–$175
  • Higher rates can be discussed for writers with strong CNC machining, CNC programming, engineering, shop-floor, or manufacturing experience
  • A paid sample of up to 100 words may be requested to check fit
  • The first full test article will be paid
  • Formal long-term cooperation will be handled through Upwork

To apply, please send:

  1. Relevant writing samples, especially manufacturing, engineering, CNC machining, metalworking, or B2B technical content
  2. A short explanation of your experience with CNC machining or manufacturing topics
  3. Whether you have any real CNC machining, CNC programming, engineering, or manufacturing experience
  4. Your availability for long-term cooperation
  5. Your expected rate if your technical background requires a higher rate

Please do not apply with only general lifestyle, travel, or unrelated samples. I’m mainly looking for someone who can handle industrial content with accuracy and consistency.

Thanks.
