How much does upward trend really help??

Hi everyone!

I have a cGPA of 3.83 and sGPA of 3.8.

I got a 517 MCAT and a lot of schools I’m looking at have GPA averages 3.9+. I had a really bad freshman year (3.46), but ever since have gotten a 3.95+ GPA sophomore junior and senior year. Also, my grades REALLY bottomed out freshman year because of a C- in an elective english class (🙂‍↔️), not anything even science related. Do I still view the 3.9+ as fair game or view my 3.83 as is.

Also I know at this stage the EC’s are what truly matter but that one is harder to think through
