I have been researching for two hours about what constitutes a wrinkle vs. crease, does a crease automatically make something damaged, etc.

The consensus is all over the place.

Pictured is a card I got recently. I have a feeling a lot of people on here are going to say IT HAS WRINKLE, ITS DAMAGED.

I get where people are coming from with wrinkles/creases, but placing this card in the same category as a washing machine special seems……off.

Using TCG player guidelines, they say a card can be MP/HP and have a crease. I’m still struggling to get a more solid definition on if this would even be considered a crease (only visible on one side of the card, and you really have to look for it at the right angle). It isn’t super obvious. It’s only on one side of the card. Yet some would automatically consider this damaged. I’m just wondering where that standard is coming from? Am I missing some guideline? I’m not trying to mislead anyone into thinking this card is in better condition than it is, but I also don’t want to write it off as damaged if it’s not. Honestly, I’m not even trying to sell this card (I like it lol), but I’m trying to learn for future reference where the line is between MP, HP and DMG when it comes to wrinkles/creases specifically.

I have some people telling me his is MP, others damaged, and no one seems to agree.

I feel the community has gotten much harsher on what is considered MP, HP and damaged in recent years. I went to a card show recently and was mind blown at what some sellers considered MP (barely any whitening on the sides, some imperfections, but nothing crazy!). It has me wondering am I too soft on conditioning? Are other people too harsh?

If I went to sell this card on TCG player right now, what would you call it?
