Another App, but Cooler

Third Party App

A month or two back, I was listening to a song—which I can't currently remember. While listening, I started thinking about how the sound of that band came to be. Who were the band members listening to before and during the writing of that song? What was the progression in music that happened that led them to that sound for that track?

Then I started thinking about the bands and artists who listened to the song and had some of it rub off on their own music.

Then I remembered I have the Pro account with Claude, and I started building Song Zero.

The app allows you to input a song and artist, and then the AI finds the songs and artists that influenced Song Zero, as well as the bands that were influenced by it.

The app outputs a Spotify playlist, links to Tidal and Apple Music, a genealogy timeline, blurbs about each song, and citations.

I think the output has been pretty cool, and figured I should share it. It is free to create a couple of 8-song playlists or a single 20-song output. It costs money to generate, hence the limits and the subscription offerings.

You can check it out here: https://song-zero.app

Sample output: TV On the Radio - "Wolf Like Me"
