Multiple FIRs on Apoorva for standing up for herself but zero on Pranit More, why?

Ask USI

Himanshu said on camera, "koi ladki bhej do, main karke dikha dunga." (Send me a girl, I will show you how.) And this whole room was smiling and laughing. Look at their faces. This is exactly what locker room talk looks like. Except it is not even in a locker room anymore. It is on camera, for thousands of people, under his real name. If this is what he is comfortable saying publicly, think about what the private conversations look like.

There were multiple FIRs on Apoorva for standing up for herself. Zero on Pranit More! The woman who defended herself is buried in legal cases. The men who openly treated a woman like a commodity with a price tag are free and fine. And this happens because we as a society have let it happen. These conversations have been normalised for decades. Women still date and marry men like this, so men think it is fine, if not this girl, then another girl will. Girls need to start boycotting men like this so they actually face some consequence. And men calling this out matters more than people realise because men like this only actually listen to other men.

So a woman gets threats and multiple FIRs filed against her for defending herself and her friend online. But this man, who is almost 40, on camera, in front of a room full of people who are clapping and laughing, is sitting there counting money step by step while a guy describes doing things to a woman's body, and his only consequence is one Instagram story saying lapse of judgment.

Bro, you did not have a "lapse of judgment." You actively participated. You added your own lines throughout the entire segment. You were the one saying, "12 rupaiye wasool hogye" (12 rupees have been recovered/earned back), "180 wasool hogye" (180 have been recovered), and "loss karwa diya" (you caused a loss). After the guy talking about the 370 rupees said, "Maine uske leggings mein haath daala" (I put my hand inside her leggings), you specifically said, "Chal idhar 185 wasool hua" (Come on, 185 rupees have been recovered here).

Then he gave the guy 5000 rupees and called him the funniest person he has seen in a decade. And the flow excuse does not work here because we also saw him stop the guy when he used a word related to religion. So he was aware. He knew what would get him in trouble. He made a calculation. Women just did not make that cut for him. He was trying to avoid the backlash over the mandir word, but little did he know the other thing would get him a greater backlash. And it is not just Pranit. His brother Prayag More also posted something on Jan publicly discussing his wife's period cycle and what he wants to do in the bedroom.

Good to see some men speaking up. But is it not scary that the majority of men in that room were laughing? These are the men around us. All smiling ear to ear. And they will go home and wonder why women are guarded and do not trust easily.
