The scholarship for the scholar program

I'm a incoming roosevelt scholar, I'm just curious about the scholarship money. So for that money, let say I got $1000 for the year and its split into two semester to disburse, half ($500) for fall and half ($500) for spring.

Will I able to direct deposit the money out into my bank acc or does it go straight into the bill and pay off my tuition with no disbursement allow?
