Anyone Else Rebuilding Their Life? Seeking Genuine Friendships
Looking for a few genuine friendships with people in a similar season of life.
Sometimes I can be a bit of a hermit and introverted, but I’m attempting to come out of my shell and find some honest friendships.
I’m a 40-year-old married empty nester and dog mom living in the PNW. I recently moved back to Washington State and am slowly rebuilding life after several years that included a lot of grief, loss, and major changes.
I’m a mix of old-fashioned and modern. I love meaningful conversations, personal growth, writing, creativity, and exploring ideas that make life feel a little deeper, more joyful, and more interesting.
Some topics I’m drawn to are natural healing, psychedelic therapies and integration, nervous system work, grief, psychology, writing, journaling, content creation, and figuring out what comes next after life takes an unexpected turn.
What I’m really hoping to find are friendships that feel inspiring. The kind where we share ideas, encourage each other, celebrate progress, brainstorm projects, and help each other stay motivated when life feels a little unmotivating from time to time. Whether that’s writing on a platform or in a journal, sharing ideas for a healthy lunch, creating content, encouraging each other to go for a walk, starting a business, or simply becoming a more grounded version of ourselves.
I tend to connect best with thoughtful, curious people who enjoy deeper conversations and aren’t afraid to talk about the real stuff. I appreciate people who can disagree respectfully too. We don’t have to think the same way about everything, and I’d rather have honest conversations than pretend agreement.
Accountability buddies are welcome. Sometimes it’s easier to get going when you’re surrounded by people creating things, growing, and cheering each other on.
If any of this resonates with you, or even better if you also live in the PNW, I’d love to connect.
