Sell your Cloak and Buy a Sword.

I’ve always been fascinated with swords. I never gave it much thought though.

What Kind of swords were they using in those days?

I know the Romans would likely have been using a Gladius.

Because they were occupied by Rome, would they have brought him a Gladius?

Does anyone know what kind of swords they presented to Jesus when he said this?

Is there any evidence to suggest what kind of sword it would have been?

Also, when one of them cut off the man’s ear, what kind of sword was he using?

Is there any research that has been done to indicate what kind of swords these would have been?
