Inpatient rehab evals?

Venting - Advice Wanted

Just started a new position in inpatient rehab, coming from 1 year in ortho and I feel kinda stressed about evals. I am doing a mentor program where I slowly build my caseload up, and ill have my first eval soon and dont feel as confident as I should about the process.

I know in general we are to assess the 7 QIs including feeding, oral hygiene, bathing, toileting, UB dressing, LB dressing, and footwear. We also asses cognition with the BIMS and CAM if the patient is not receiving ST.

But i still feel shakey given I've only seen 1-2 evals, and feel like there's more to it than just assessing the QIs? I also feel my clinical reasoning will short circuit if its a more complex eval (severely apraxic or cognitively impaired friends).

Any tips?
