God sent me a sign to break up with my boyfriend of 4 years.

I (19F) received a direct and physical sign to finally tell me to break up with my ex (20M) after 4 years.

I was retelling this story today in the car and I realized it would be something amazing to share. The title sounds a little far fetched, but the story is true.

I'm active duty in the military and had been with my ex boyfriend for 4 years. The relationship started fine, but as I slowly started my walk with faith he didn't share the same ideology which obviously made a barrier. I would try to encourage him to go to church with me or try praying with me, but he just said it wasn't his thing. Anyways, this isn't about the relationship it's about the sign.

At the time me and my ex boyfriend were temporarily long distance (military) and I was having a panic attack the night before a big event. As one does when they feel panicked and alone, I prayed. I was stressed about my relationship, and I had been having my doubts for a while but never truly knew if I was making the right decision to stay or leave. This was my first relationship after all. I felt torn, and I begged and pleaded God on my knees to send me some sort of physical sign. Something that I couldn't talk myself out of.

The next day, I was preparing for the event and I went to fidget with the promise ring my boyfriend at the time had bought for me years ago. However, the big gem of the ring was completely missing. It had been there last night when I prayed, but for some reason, when I had woken up, it was just an empty ring shell. I used to fidget with it very frequently, so I immediately noticed when it was missing and looked around for the gem but it was gone.

From that moment on I knew I got what I asked for and I immediately felt the presence.

That same night I broke up with him. It was the best decision of my life and I'm so grateful that God helped me get the courage to go through with it.

TLDR: I begged god to send me a physical sign to break up with my BF, the very next morning my promise ring was missing its gem leaving an empty shell behind.
