I have been thinking about "renna" the witch
So, there is something strange about this encounter. We know Ranni the full size doll is in her tower. We know that the funko-pop Ranni doll is underground and that this is because she is hiding her soul from the baleful shadow.
How is she in limgrave?
More importantly, and this is something to really notice, she puts the trader to sleep, which is a miquella/st trina thing to do.
So we reach a situation, Empyreans are split personalities, Marika is Radagon, Miquella is St Trina. Who is Ranni. If it is Godwyn (as I suspect given the night of long knives), then why does Ranni have two faces when we see her, shouldn't she be solo? Shouldn't she be severed from Godwyn since hes definitely dead?
Unless we are seeing something else, someONE else.
Any thoughts? My playthrough I am seeing Miquella everywhere and yes that is informed by the DLC but his flowers are EVERYWHERE. I go to a forsaken ruins in caelid and bam a staff of miquella just in this random place overlooking where Malenia and Radahn went to war.
The church of anticipation really sets me off, if you defeat the Scion there are nascent butterflies that lead you to falling to your doom. Then who shows up but Melina with a horse that belonged to Miquella to guide you back into the lands between. The first church you reach of heres comes "Renna" with a spirit calling bell and she uses sleep magic.
I don't know if I am seeing Miquellas influence over Ranni or something more sinister, but the question remains, HOW does Ranni get to that church? Why would she take that risk to introduce herself to some random tarnished of no renown when she is supposedly in hiding?
It isn't mathing in my head.
