[lotM Volume 8] is it recommended to take a break before starting coi?

It’s hard not to jump into coi to keep the hype going. I feel that if I wait a month or more I’ll forget key details and lose interest in the story. But I also risk treating it as just another volume instead of its separate story of if I read it too soon so I’m kinda torn.
