Does the average “desirable” gay bro actually use grindr?

Ok so I’m pretty new to all this and I’m mid 20’s in a medium sized city. I have always presented straight and told people as such but I still have some really good friends who are also gay. They are very normal, relatively handsome dudes (I am not interested in hitting/getting with my friends, i just like to keep friends separate).

However, every time I try to use grindr its… an interesting group of people to say the least. Anything from ridiculously pushy/borderline antisocial conversation to people who just aren’t my type at all. I would say more often than not, the actually attractive and normal conversation guys are fake/ai/bots. So basically im wondering if it’s pretty normal for the “sought after/desirable” guys to stay away from the apps. Obviously they probably wouldn’t need them but sometimes it can be hard to find like-minded people so I’m a bit surprised that grindr seems to not have many of them at all.
