Kinda about periods soo

I got my first period a month ago. I never told my mom and I need to tell her now because before, she said that when i get it I need to tell her immediately. I'm really scared to tell her rn the plan is to walk into her room at like night and pretend I just got it but idk I'm nervous any tips??
