Graduation for Elementary Teachers?

Elementary teachers... Do you go to High School Graduation? I have a few colleagues who take off work each year to go and as an elementary teacher I think it's kind of strange. These are teachers who maintain connections with their students once they leave elementary school and I just don't get it. Just wondering if I'm in the minority on this.
