In regards to recent discourse:

Hey Gang,

For the last few months, you may have noticed the Lacenet discourse has only become more and more of a hot topic especially due to a few inflammatory individuals and threads. After a lot of deliberation in the mod team we've finally come to the decision of restricting all shipping discussion and Lacenet discourse.

There will now be a shipping tag that will be required for all shipping art/discussion and we are formally banning discussion about Laces age and banning all art depicting any characters as children. If you wish to post art of any characters in a de-aged form you will require direct approval from the mod team and the comments on that post will be locked.

Furthermore, any targeted harassment at certain individuals who were particularly involved in the heated flame wars over the past few months will result in a 7 day ban.

Any posts depicting shipping art that is improperly flaired will result in correction as seen below:

1st. A warning

2nd. A 3 day ban

3rd. A 7 day ban

4th. A 2 month ban

5th. A permanent ban

As mods, our feed over the past few weeks has been clogged by Lacenet discourse so any name calling, harassment, calls for violence/threats, or anything insinuating Lace or Hornet or any other character is a child (with the exception being a *child of* something/someone), will result in the same correction system as seen above.

As always Homophobia/Racism/Discrimination of anytype will result in a PERMANENT ban with limited to no chance for appeal.

The Mod team had a hard time making decisions on this topic as there was a degree of internal divide. I pushed heavily for an outright ban for any and all shipping content, however we collectively agreed assigning a flair and banning specific behaviours was the most neutral course of action. If you have any issues with us banning certain aspects of Lacenet, direct your ire at me and not the rest of the mod team. Personally Im fed up with a lot of you and your behaviours and a good handful of you would already be perma-banned if I had things my way, but the mod team championed a good faith approach and allowing certain aspects of shipping culture to continue on this sub, albeit segregated from the main part of the community under a specific flair.

A direct message to those of you who have been particularly hostile during these discussions:

Give me an excuse, and you're gone.

I'm really fed up at how heated the lot of you have become because a handful of people are drawing bug art for bug game. Most of the discourse in the sub for years has been very lighthearted and done in good fun. This time around yall have crossed a line becoming truly problematic. The amount of pure vitriol we've had to sort through because of this situation is truly abborhant and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
