Update The Guest who left me a 3 star review has made an offer to buy my property.

In a previous post, I asked for advice about a guest who told me she had an incredible stay, then turned around and left a 3-star overall rating along with poor scores in several Airbnb subcategories. One of her complaints was that my downtown Airbnb was “rural,” despite being in the heart of my city.

The same day she left the review, she booked another stay with us, so I wasn’t able to block her in time (we have Instant Book turned on).

A few days ago this guest arrived with her husband who wasn’t at the previous stay and he immediately fell in love with the property.

Ironically one of his favorite features of the house is its location……..

I spoke with the wife about the review, and she claimed she thought reviews were private and only visible to hosts, not public. Personally I think that BS.

Three days into their seven-day stay, the husband casually asked if I’d ever consider selling the property. I laughed and told him it wasn’t for sale.

Today, he sent me a semi formal offer complete with proof of funds (Cash buyer)
