editing velocity on hats only

hey. on my live 2 i used to be able to tap my hihat pad to select all recorded hihat notes, then open the velocity drawer and anything i would tap in there would only affect the previously selected hinhat notes.

right now i do the same thing but im messing with snare and kick velocity also. i dont know if i switched something on/off or if something changed in an update, but its pretty frustrating.
