Wingtip fire for (ASEL) checkride
Taking my PPL checkride in a few weeks. I heard the DPE does wingtip fires as a simulated EP in addition to engine failure. On a Cessna 172M, the POH says to turn off nav lights, anti collision lights, and pitot heat, and land ASAP. However, all the CFIs have told me to do that and also do an emergency steep descent at Vno away from the wing fire to try to blow it out.
Should I follow the POH or wha the CFIs are telling me?
