Didn't the Warriors have a chance to get OG Anunoby and was it a mistake or not to not get him?

I can't remember the exact details but I think the Warriors had a chance to trade JK for him. I think the Raptors wanted too much but considering where JK is now and how much his stock dropped it seems like a major mistake.
