Sh scars, is this in my head? It is hot out, but they are a year old.

My scars are almost a year old. It is 28 degrees out.

I want to leave wearing shorts but they still are visible even after a year. I am mortified and feel like everyone will be staring, judging, my small town might even not employ me. Just looking for advice or if this is all in my head. Pls be nice
