Weird surreal dream

One time, I fell asleep and then woke up inside my dream. I was in the exact same room, but everything had a strange blue gray tint to it. I could hear my mother talking to my ex-wife somewhere in the house. Then my ex walked down the hallway and stopped in front of the doorway. She was holding a baby, and her hair was a different color.

The moment I saw her, it felt like a flood of information from that world rushed into my mind. In that reality, we had never broken up. I immediately panicked because I genuinely thought I had somehow slipped into another dimension.

She looked at me, confused, and asked, “Why are you afraid? Why are you yelling?”

I remember responding, “I have to go back.”

I laid my head down on the pillow and tried to wake myself up. It took two or three attempts, but eventually I opened my eyes and woke up in reality.

It sounds like something out of a movie, or maybe even a joke, but the experience felt incredibly real. It’s honestly tripped me out ever since.

Has anyone experienced something like this? At the time I was smoking weed so maybe that had something to do with it lol.
