8Bitdo 64 Bluetooth

I know it’s been brought up here before the suggestion of using the n64 wireless controller on Saturn. Mixed feelings about that aside, the 8bitdo 64 Bluetooth has, imo, a better layout, 6 buttons and triggers, and a thumb stick. My thought was to take the shell off and round out the octagate using some files and sandpaper then swapping the analog cap for something that would suit me more. My tv is too far away from my couch that I need wireless(no I can’t get a crt right now), and the 3d controller plus the building the wireless dongle would run atleast $100. Using the dual sense controller works, but the layout doesn’t feel intuitive as it’s not matched up for how Saturn games were designed(obviously).
Just curious on any thoughts or downsides to this idea.
