Very sad and disappointed with the path DL2 development is taking...

:DL2: Dying Light 2

First, microtransactions were added. It's an optional part, I get it, but this is basically a greedy way to milk the game by inducing the customer to pay more than they should for the content offered. Why not offering these contents as standalone DLC packages like everyone else does, so the customer gets what they are paying for?

Then they started giving a very weird emphasis to community created content in some of the recent community events, locking rewards behind doing challenges in these maps, Lawan got an optional replacement for an asian character...ok, everything here was also optional, weird but optional. Minimal damage.

A while ago we got the news that Tymon was no longer part of the DL team, and then, a few weeks after that punch in the gut, we got a new update that basically cut the game down removing one of the best parts of it, along with an important character that has been around ever since the original game. This was heavy damage.

Then, after noticing how this removal caused the community to react negatively, they quickly release this, trying to sell us the idea Spike's removal from the game was a controlled and thoughtful move to hype us up on something new they are working on related to this character, but this was just an attempt to control the damage they caused.

That said, I'm very disappointed with the choices Techland has taken lately. An absurd quality improvement happened between the original Dead Island and the original Dying Light, back then it appeared Techland did learn something from their previous experiences, but now all I can see is the opposite effect, DL2 seems to be getting worse the more it gets updated, and it is so sad to witness this, considering Dying Light has been one of my favorite franchises ever.
