Registrations taking WAY to long

So Ive been working in auto industry for about 4 years now. I was in parts and service for most of it, but the last 6 months I am front desk receptionist at a dealership.

Its super easy and I pretty much dont mind the job. Even if all the sales guys are tools.

There is one thing thats making my job more difficult than it needs to be. Registrations. I have multiple customers calling everyday that they have been waiting for 2 to 3 months for their registrations.... and everytime I go talk to the title clerk, she just gives me attitude and tells me a estimated date each time. Then the estimated date comes, and its still not ready. She pushes it back more. Customers get mad and yell at ME. Demanding to talk to general manager, which im told to never bother. I try to get the sales managers to talk to customers but they aren't any fucking help either.

Im just tired of being "the one at fault" like IM the one sending these applications to the tax office. The title clerk looks so busy, all the time. She has piles and piles of paperwork surrounding her desk. I just dont get it.

When I first started working here, it would be 4 to 6 weeks for registrations. But the last 2 months have been 8+ weeks and customers are rightfully pissed. Im just tired of being the punching bag.

I like this job other than that. It gives me a nice schedule with my daughter and tons of easy paper work. This registration crap is just bullshit....
