How to abuse the silly 10$ coupon from 100 day checkin

A few disclaimers after posting here before. In order for this to work, you'll need:

- to be in the US

- A bunch of coins, or at least enough time on your checkin to farm a BUNCH of coins before the coupon hits.

- Minimum 120k gems. Most people have these from previous checkins, but there are a few things you can do to get more.

- Time. For the later days in the checkin, expect to spend 10-30 minutes depending on the assigned task. Still, not too bad. You'll also need to invest time in finding applicable items - I suggest that when people find eligible items (choice or free shipping, 70%+ coin discount), they post them in the comments here. I'll put the one I found recently down below as they can be rare.

Also, please note that I have not had the opportunity to test this. But given the current rules of Aliexpress, and what I've done with smaller green coupon amounts, this would definitely work.

But TLDR, using red coupons, coins, and your green 10$ off, you can get 80 dollars (pre all discounts) of stuff, completely for free. If you don't put in as much effort, you can still get about 60 dollars of stuff.

The way this works hinges on the fact that Aliexpress, when determining the value of an order for the application of red coupons and free shipping, looks at the price of the order *BEFORE COINS*.

This means that if I have, to use extremes, a $100 item that is marked down 99% with coins, Aliexpress takes that as a 100 dollar order and I can get the red coupon for $20 off $100, then buy an extra 19 bucks of stuff for free. Sadly, Aliexpress probably figured out that they couldn't just let us get free stuff always, so I've seen no items with 80%+ coin discount in a while. But with the green coupon, it works. What we're doing here is taking $80 of stuff marked down at least 70%, making the actual total $24. The green coupon covers $10. The $15 off $80 coupon will cover the other $15 dollars with just a little bit of wiggle room. You, my dear redditor, pay absolutely nothing. For smaller stuff, you can do this exact thing on savings monday. Rather than aiming for a red coupon, usually I'm aiming for free shipping at $10, but the 70% off rule still applies.

Putting the best percent off with coins item I've seen in a while in a comment below so the post doesn't get removed - on my end at least, it's 75%. Hope it works for y'all, and that we can build up a nice database that updates as the coins do in these comments! They are rare, but they do exist, and they're free if you do this right!

Some tips for finding applicable items:

- If you have any kind of green coupon, that will also display in the coins discount, making stuff look like it's a crazy amount off, even when the coupon will spread across your items and change the prices and overall make you have a very, very bad day. It's much easier to search when the coin page is reliable, so avoid searching when you have one. If you do have one, make sure to test in the checkout page how much is actually coins, and how much is just your green coupon.
- Some stores do more coins stuff than others. If you find something that's a huge percent off, it's worth checking out the attached store.
