I spent the past year producing an animated fantasy short film featuring a lighthouse keeper, a mermaid, and a one-legged pirate captain.
These teasers are part of a larger serialized story I've been releasing ahead of the full short film.
The project was produced as a solo indie experiment using a mix of AI-assisted tools, character sheets, traditional editing, writing, AI voiceover work, sound design, compositing, and an absurd amount of trial and error.
I'm curious how other animators feel about where AI-assisted animation currently sits in the production pipeline.
I'd love honest feedback on the teasers themselves as well—particularly pacing, visual consistency, and whether the emotional intent comes across.
