Am I Wrong for saying my friends age gap with her bf is weird

I’m 18F. My best friend is 19F (20 next May). She started a new college (UK) in September at 18. She met a guy there who she really liked. He was really kind to her and quite goodlooking. I told her he looks cute and sounds sweet. She told me yesterday really excitedly that he asked her to be his girlfriend. I was really happy for her until she told me he’s 16 (17 in October). I said that age gaps quite creepy.

She said that was the age her parents met at. I said that was in the old days though and still kind of weird but it was more socially acceptable back then. She’s not been talking to me. She’s saying I’m making her out to be a criminal. I said it’s not illegal but it’s weird that’s all. Like a yellow card. But she’s still super upset at me.
