[gourmet] can I just cut an X into my grow bags and set them outside?

Fruiting mushrooms inside is starting to seem less than ideal. I should've went all in on logs to begin with. One thing I've been thinking. I live in zone 5b in the Midwest. I have lions mane, blue/pink oysters, and shiitake. Why couldn't I just cut an X into my wheat bran/sawdust blocks and put them in shade and mist them once or twice a day outside? It gets hot and humid here
