A friend of ours is going to propose to his partner. He invited Herself and I down as a surprise along with some other friends to celebrate with them afterwards, all going well. We're new to all of this and are just looking for advice on gifting. We assume it's a gifting situation, but what do people gift? Is it different to an official engagement party where traditionally you would gift?
