[India] Money Dispute/ scam/ revenge/ fraud- 2
The repayment process wasn’t anything easy.
What I didn’t anticipate was the toll it would take on my mental health. The constant calls, messages, threats, and pressure from online lending companies were relentless. Some of the conversations I had with recovery agents were genuinely shocking. It felt like there was no limit to how far they would go.
It got to a point where I couldn’t handle it alone anymore. I finally told my parents everything. Together, we somehow managed to arrange settlements and clear the outstanding amounts. It wasn’t easy, but we got through it.
After that, I disappeared from the situation for almost three months. I blocked him everywhere and tried to move on.
But the more I thought about it, the more I felt that what happened wasn’t right. So I started digging deeper. I created a backup account, looked through his network, reached out to people who knew him, and slowly began piecing together a bigger picture.
Then one day I decided I was done staying silent.
I posted my experience publicly.
The response was overwhelming. The views, messages, and replies came flooding in. What surprised me most was discovering that I wasn’t alone. More people came forward with stories that sounded disturbingly familiar. Different details, same pattern.
And yet, despite all of this, the attitude seems to be, “What can anyone do to me?”
The purpose of speaking out was never revenge. It was accountability. I simply wanted him and his mother to know what happened to other persons life and return the money he owed.
Now I’m left wondering: if multiple people are raising the same concerns and still nothing has changed was no one ever able to raise a complaint.
No formal action can be taken so he can face the consequences too?
