Are there Waldorf-inspired or Waldorf schools that have more rigorous academics?

I am planning to move to either Oregon or Washington state in the next few years. I'm starting to think about which schools would be appropriate. But we are open to other states if there is a school that stands out to us.

I really like the device-free nature of Waldorf and I appreciate that students are learning handwriting and cursive in many of the Waldorf schools.

However, I have heard that students end up behind in literacy and math skills? Is this true in your experiences? I would love a device-free classroom, but with more emphasis placed on academics.
