Where can I meet new people and friends?

I’m a guy, 22 turning 23 soon and I’m about a month in a half into a break up. Break up is a whole thing, dated my ex for 8 years and she cheated on me with an old close friend. Anyways I’m at a point in my healing process where I wanna meet new people. Hopefully make friends, and if I’m lucky flirt around and mess around. Thing is, I realize that I don’t know how or where to find new people to chat with. I’ve been to bars, clubs, arcades, libraries, malls, a lot of places basically. I didn’t realize how much of a struggle it is to meet new people as an adult. How can I start making new connections with people and make friends as an adult?
