Don’t they have to release the merger date?

As the merger is getting close with many people thinking it will be June 15, I was wondering that don’t they have to release the date in advance before the merger happens? Or is this not true? I’m sitting on 14k shares which is basically all I can afford for now. Thanks guys and good luck to you all!
