lower manhattan with roommates, 2.2k-2.4k in the winter months? possible?

mulling over the logistics of a move, currently in lower manhattan but just seeking lower rent, found the place i currently live in through a friend. any thoughts and advice? is this possible? people say winter is cheaper but idk market is changing
