[Extension] - The director.

Discussion

Hello!

This is an experimental idea I'm trying out, if anyone wants to test it, it might be fun.

I've noticed that in many cases the "thinking block" is spot on, but when the model generates the actual message... it often doesn't follow its own thoughts. On the other hand, if you tell an LLM "do this specific thing," it usually follows that instruction pretty well.

My idea is to exploit exactly that. The Director runs first, i imagine a stronger model works better here. It analyzes the plot and the story arcs, then plans the tone of the scene and what should happen next. In particular, I've found that models are more neutral and less positivity-biased when you ask them "what's the next logical step for this scene?" instead of asking them to write it.

The Director's outline is then injected into the main prompt (only the latest outline, never the whole history). It can be used to instruct a smaller but more prose-capable model on how to play out the scene and if the Director decides on something more drastic, the RP model gets told to actually go through with it.?

If anyone want to try it out, its here:
