Are there any other types of events?

I started playing this game a few months ago, started with the Milotic and Shaymin events. Do they just keep going back and forth with these two event modes? Are there any other events to look forward to? Cuz I’m already extremely bored with doing the same thing every few weeks.

The hidden Pokémon in the bush thing is also pretty uninteresting for the amount of time it takes to complete. The gameplay is fun, but these events are so uncreative
