Samsung S26 Ultra or iPhone 17 Pro Max?

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to choose between the Samsung S26 Ultra and the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and I would love some opinions from people who have actually used both, especially at concerts.

Basically, I found a FNAC partner deal offering the Samsung S26 Ultra 500GB for €1000 instead of €1600, brand new (not refurbished) !!!

Meanwhile, the iPhone has no discount at all, so I'd have to pay €1300 for even less storage...

Pros for Samsung:

- I genuinely prefer Samsung photos. The colors look much more vibrant and natural to me, and skin tones don't look as yellow. Same for selfies !

- I've used Samsung my whole life, so I'm super comfortable with Android.

- I much prefer Google and Android over Safari constantly pushing me into the Apple ecosystem.

- The S Pen is actually so cool lol.

- The zoom is amazing (100x vs around 40x).

- I also prefer Samsung's design, and I'm worried the iPhone will feel too heavy since I've always had older lightweight plastic phones.

- I also like Android's ability to block sus avertising just by changing your DNS !

BUT !!!

I also create content for social media, so iPhone has some big advantages for me:

- Posts seem to look better on Instagram/TikTok.

- I honestly prefer iPhone video quality.

The thing is that I used to own a Samsung S21+ and filmed a concert with it. I was literally around the 8th row from the barricade, so I was REALLY close, and yet my videos still looked kind of grainy, like my video was made of little dots (very little) and not completely smooth.

My next phone is mainly for my upcoming BTS concert, and I really want to capture those memories in the best way possible. I want amazing photos, but I also want beautiful videos that I'll still enjoy watching years later.

So my questions are:

- Has the S26 Ultra improved a lot when it comes to concert videos?

- Is the grainy problem still noticeable in dark concert environments with constantly changing lights ?

(The concert will be in daylight tho and not in the dark, but there will still be lots of lights)

--> Or is the iPhone still significantly better for this kind of filming?

The problem is that outside of video, I honestly prefer almost everything about Samsung, and it's also cheaper while giving me 500GB of storage.

I'd really appreciate opinions from people who have used both phones or filmed concerts with the S26 Ultra or the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Thanks!!!
