Preparing for Bloomberg Intelligence (BI) - Thematic Strategy Research Associate Interview. Any advice?

Interview Advice

Hi everyone,
I have an upcoming interview for a Thematic Strategy Research Associate role at Bloomberg Intelligence (BI) and would love some insight on how to best prepare.

Given that thematic research looks at long-term, cross-sector trends (macro, tech shifts, ESG, regulation, etc.) rather than traditional single-stock coverage, I want to make sure I'm targeting my preparation correctly.

For anyone who has worked at BI or gone through their research associate interview process:
What type of questions should I expect? Will it lean heavily into pitching a thematic investment idea, macro/quantitative trends, or technical financial modeling?
What does the case study or Excel test look like? (If they require one for this specific strategy arm).
What is the best way to prepare? Are there specific BI research frameworks or Terminal functions I should be highly familiar with?
How is the culture and vibe within BI?
