Was STV peak Classic WoW chaos or just an absolute nightmare?

I’ve been thinking about Stranglethorn Vale lately because I feel like almost everyone remembers this zone, but not always in a good way lol.

The questing was already kind of a mess. You had mobs everywhere, long runs, Nesingwary’s camp, Booty Bay, both factions constantly running into each other, random ganks, corpse runs, higher levels passing through, and that feeling that you were never really safe.

But honestly that might be why it stuck with people so much.

STV was annoying, but it also felt alive. You weren’t just fighting mobs. You were fighting the zone, the other faction, the roads, the graveyard runs, and sometimes your own patience.

I made a video about why STV is so memorable, but I’m mostly just curious how other people remember it.

Was STV one of Classic WoW’s best zones, or one of the most annoying zones in the game?
