i cant send emails because of “smtp”

hi i really need help. i cant send emails because my smtp is broken. i dont even know what that is. i googled and it told me to manually add my email back in settings which i did and when i try to save it says “add account without ssl?” and now “this account might not be able to send or recieve emails” im literally so confused on all of this how does this even happen i know nothing about any of this
