I've been in this sub defending this game PASSIONATELY since release. But this patch ain't it. What are the devs thinking? Why would they do this?

Man I fell in love with this game in the beta and playtest, and it got better on release. I thought it was too good to be true, and I've been in here defending the gameplay like a fanboy since release, because I want this game to succeed SO BAD, because the gameplay was so nice after so many years of £football, and EA FC (4-4-1-1 pace spam, through ball simulator).

Despite its initial issues, the gameplay felt so damn good! But this recent patch nerfed defending (which already was tough, but possible/rewarding) and buffed ratty attack styles.

I just played my first couple games since patch, and what the heck? Did the devs do this to make EA FC rats happy in time for the attention spike from the World Cup? This feels like a pace simulator. I never thought this would happen.

I'm so disappointed. I thought this game was different.

If you're a dev, can you PLEASE give some sort of feedback to help us make sense of this patch?
