LeBron’s Next Move

Hear me out: if the Spurs don’t win this series, LeBron should go to San Antonio. Before I get into my reasoning, allow me to say 2 things. 1) I understand this is highly unlikely 2) I am unaware if it’s even possible under the current CBA, but the more I ponder on potential fits for LeBron’s services next year, the more I feel as if San Antonio is exactly what he needs. Bullets below explaining why for each side.

Why LeBron would want to go to San Antonio:
- He has to understand that he’s no longer the type of player who can be the best player on his team and still win a championship
- In my eyes, him going to San Antonio would not look the same (even remotely) as KD going to the warriors and would not tarnish his legacy. The Spurs NEED an adult in the room to help run the offense, especially one that is NOT De’Aron Fox (he blows).
- Poetic bookend to his career, allows him to search for ring #5 and hand the torch off to Wemby

Why San Antonio would want LeBron:
- Pretty simple, they need an adult to run the offense, De’Aron Fox sucks (maybe this is over reactive, but I’m on the BS subreddit, so I feel like this is a safe space) and he’d be additive to this team and they have the perimeter defenders to compensate for LeBron’s lack of defense

Lastly, why the Lakers are probably fine with him leaving:
- Paying a massive contract to another ball dominant player is not complimentary to Luka. They need defenders, shooters, and a real big man. LeBron is a luxury to them right now.

So, what do you think? Feel free to tear me apart and call me names, I want honest opinions because in my mind’s eye it’s clear as day that it’s a natural fit.
