Should my washer sound like it’s about to take off?

Honestly, I have somehow managed to not be around almost every time the washer is running. Maybe it does this all time or I just have a really shitty washer, but can anybody tell me why my washer is sooo loud? Is it supposed to sound like a tsunami is about to rip through my living room at any second? I wasn’t able to get a video of how it starts, but it sounds like what I imagine the inside of one of those hurricane simulator games sounds and then it’s just loud noise for like ten minutes straight. Did I mess up a setting or something because wow.
