Do you think Eve Babitz was getting money from her parents?

Eve must have spent copious amounts of money on her outfits and beauty products, not to mention substances, bar tabs, restaurant bills, and admission fees to various events. Yet somehow she never seems to mention struggling financially. I know she wrote for several magazines and was a groupie, however I don’t see how she could have covered all those expenses purely off of her freelance work and the goodwill of a few wealthy musicians.
