Canceled my uber mid ride
So I was going to end up late to work because multiple uber drivers kept driving partially to me and then canceling. I called my customer and we rescheduled. I'll take the bus tomorrow because I forgot how insanely unreliable uber can be in Houston. I've had so many drivers cancel before pick up or multi app while clearly driving for lyft or doordash. I even once had a driver go home after he refused to cancel the ride.
So while in the uber I canceled and asked the uber to drop me off on the corner since we were in traffic. This jerk tells me to get out because I canceled here that's where I get out. I started recording the conversation and told him that if I get out in the middle of the street and get hit he's liable. He relented but was pissed.
I don't understand how drivers think it's acceptable for them to cancel whenever they want to but it's wrong for the customer to do so, especially when we are paying to cancel. I still had to pay 60% of the ride. Those other drivers had to pay nothing for canceling on me. Sorry not sorry but it no longer made sense for me to take the ride so I canceled. It goes both ways drivers.
