Kidney and pancreas, transplant, weightless, no available donors, and starting a GoFundMe
So I had my first appointment with the transplant clinic today and the good news is I’ll be on the transplant list starting this Tuesday for pancreas and kidney.
So here is my question the bad news is I am O positive, which is a lot of you know. I’m a universal donor but can only get oh positive donors.
So in a major metropolitan area and mines happens to be Richmond, Virginia for people who had dual kidney and pancreas transplant how long was your waitlist?
And also, what are your opinions on like a GoFundMe to raise money so I can donate to somebody who’s donating me their Kidney.. I genuinely don’t know anybody that would do it so I figured the best way for me to speed this process up to offer somebody money in exchange for donation. Any thoughts on this and I know it’s a bit of a wild idea but I am at a stage five with about 12% left on my kidney function
