Overwhelmed by over ear for video editing, please help!
MOST IMPORTANT THING: Comfort, which for me I have narrowed down to oval ear cups and good soft squishy pads; my cheapo Tascams sound pretty good still but the tops of my ears hurt after a long edit and I am sick of it.
Budget and location - I'd love to keep it under $200 US. Refurbished ok. Can go to Canada easily as well.
Source/Amp - Yeti mic, computer soundboard, possibly surround system bluetooth?
How the gear will be used - Video editing, Zoom calls, if very comfy and bluetooth enabled maybe trying to not wake my partner up when watching scary movies in the dark; ANC I can take or leave but it must be able to be completely disabled, not just 'transparency mode'. 3.5mm aux output required, but wireless would be a nice to have for movie watching.
Preferred tonal balance - Accurate, balanced, I do edit video but I am not a sound engineer by any means.
Preferred music genres - Mixing video is the main use case
Past gear experience - The aforementioned Tascams have been my 'good enough' headphones for years. My poor sore ear cartilage has had enough.
Anything else? This is not a dealbreaker but it would be cool if there were color options! Also detachable cable/s even if not wireless, please!
