why is moving between countries still this complicated in 2026?

trying to wrap up my move from berlin back to moscow and i swear half my stuff is just stuck in limbo. shipping companies either quote 500 eur for 5kg or straight up say we don't do that route anymore. like okay

the german postal site gave me three different answers depending on which worker i talked to. one guy said documents only. another said parcels are fine but no electronics. third just shrugged.

ended up finding a warehouse in berlin that forwards. paid 27 eur per kg, my box was 3.1kg. took 13 days. not fast but at least it arrived

idk maybe im just tired. feels like every simple task takes 17 extra steps now. anyone else dealing with this or is it just me losing my mind
